I desperately want a set of style 310 wheels for my X3, but I can't bring myself to pay the unholy price of $5000 for a set.

I like those 214s. Every time I see them in the flesh, I'm impressed.

They're on. The wheels are sick but Im not all the crazy about the wheel gap now...
What should I do now? Swap them out for the same thing in 19's? I really don't want to get into springs..

I think the X3 would look nice lowered by an inch or so but I'd hate to deal with removing the springs prior to lease return.. also worried on how the ride will change after the springs are swapped out. Somebody on these boards said they started getting a see-saw effect when the car comes to a stop.

looks good, take a back shot pic angle to see how the offset is,
cant you get thicker tires to kill the gap?

Do you have the right size tires? I'm not so sure you do if the gap changed. The diameter of the tire should match that of what you had on, regardless of what wheels you have.

Had 19's went to 20's
245/40
275/35
Would going with a 45/40 setup get rid of some gap?

The more Meatier tires are the lesser the handling would be, about 45/40 is a good setup.

But have you considered lowering it

I have, but I don't really want to get into that. I have a tuner car and this is my everyday driver that my dogs comes with me everywhere in. I don't want to make it any stiffer of a ride.

So the company I bought the wheels from are willing to swap the tires from the current 40/35 for a 45/40 setup. Should I do it? Do you think its worth the effort?
