Non BMW Sat-Nav for X3 ?
I'm presuming the answer is no- but are there any 3rd party built in satnavs available to replace the existing display. I know in other vehicles you can normally fit a 2 Din unit with custom trim, but I've not seen anything for the X3.
The factory fit sat-nav is very expensive- 3rd party 2 Din units are a 3rd of the cost. Its obviously not in BMWs interest to allow 3rd party satnav- Captive market for extras= £££ or $$$ for BMW : : |

Have a look in the acessories catalogue. They show a custom fit iPhone bracket that fits in front of the car screen and fully integrates with the sound system: so for a modest price you get a proper integrated phone and if you put TomTom on your iPhone for £50 or so (and especially with its Hi def traffic activated) just about unbeatable. Far better than the BMW professional system I have. I've never seen it in the flesh but worth investigating.

Maybe...but at a couple of hundred vs the thick end of £2grand - and it probably works better- you have really got to care about appearance!
