Flashlight

Just wondering if the new X3 is coming with a flashlight. In 2008 the rechargable was deleted in the E83's (I think all BMW's) and replaced with a nice little LED. In 2009 the flashlight itself was not provided but the spot for it was still there. I'm assuming they did not include them in the new ones either.

After some digging I found the correct BMW part number for the light 63319148677. It fits the holder perfectly, is well made, and has a click on and off tailcap.

It by no means replaces a big flashlight but it completes the car nicely and is quite handy to have.

BMW makes a couple of other flashlights that will not fit so if you order one make sure it's the correct part number. My dealer tried to change it on me so I got mine from Tischer BMW of Silver Spring, MD.

Do you have a picture of the flashlight? I see a indent in my glovebox. I wonder if that's where this flashlight is stored.

In the official F25 accessories brochure the onle flashlight is # 63 31 9 139 112 described as a 'LED torch' but with no image, must be different from the one above.

Take a look here.

My holder (E83 X3) is a round hole with jaws at the bottom to hold the light in there. I suspect yours looks more like the E90 holder.
