Glad to hear it. Did you or your dealer do the mod? Does your dealer have any warranty issues because of the mod? I know my dealer said they have had no warranty issues with Dinan.

Eco Pro could save you fuel as I understand the published figures have to be taken from the mode the vehicle defaults to upon start up, which isn't Eco Pro?? Eco Pro mode will then show the savings you are making over that mode.

I own the N52 in my 325i and like it a lot and I drove a 2012 X3 with it as well. I can say objectively it is inferior to the N20. The inline 6 has its merits but I don't have a blind allegiance to it. The fact is the N52 lacks low end and always requires one to wring it out all the time. As joyous as that can be most times one just wants some snappy low end around town. Let's not forget the infamous throttle delay issues with that motor and the X3. Software can't fix a motor that inherently lacks low end torque and responsiveness. BTW I drove the N20 in the X1 and it is a rocket pure and simple. If you look at most reviews of the new 3 series they say that the 328i is the one to go for and it is hard to justify the 335i because they are that close. So just a couple iDrive screens? Not quite. |
