Noise from trunk
I have some noise coming from the trunk. I believe it comes from the plastic on the door around the window. It can be the different pieces touching or it can be the plastic against the metal.
Anybody has a similar issue? Any fix? I believe it is not more the putting some felt at the right place, but have no idea on how to remove those plastic covers around the rear window..... tips are (of course) very welcome..... |

Had such a similar noise, found out it was the plastic boot cover which wasn't placed tightly in its lock position, tried to check that? If not post pic of areas for cannot quite get which part you are referring.

X4guy,
Thanks for the tip....It is related to the boot cover, that I am sure of. How did you get the cover in it's lock position, Simply by pushing it in? Will post pictures of the suspected area tomorrow or so. |

If boot cover there is a clasp which locks in, tap your cover for rattle if you hear it just push it in. If no change then it's something else.

X4guy, thanks for the lightning fast answer!
That is exactly what I want to do, just looking how to get it off without damaging it, I am no specialist in this. You just put something between the metal and the plastic .... are there screws or clips I need to be careful with? |

You can get some help using this page http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/show...diagId=51_9690 to remove part 3, use your muscles to remove part 2 there are a couple of screws. I had same feelings than you, but beleive me it's not a big deal. |
