Exhaust Chrome Trim

Really wanting to change out the standard chrome tailpipe trim on my X4 35i but there's no option for black chrome.

Anybody know if the trim from the X1 e84 35i will fit?

Ta,

Bought a set and they would fit but are approx. 40mm shorter than originals and so from a distance you would see the 'fake' trim.

No other models are suitable either.

I'm going to buy a new set and have them black Chrome finished.

Can you tell me how you remove the existing chrome tips?

Thanks

They're held on by friction clips and so many have removed them by striking with a plastic mallet from behind. However, i briefly tried this on my brand new X4 and they are VERY tight. As i'm buying a new set to have re finished i'll likely cut them off with a dremel by slitting down the lower seam and then pulling off.

Thanks for the reply.

You're buying another set as in another x4 chrome set and have it refinished in black?

Mind if you could tell me how much it cost for a pair?

Thanks

Haven't bought replacement set yet as still not decided on refinishing a chrome set to black chrome or buying a set of aluminum finish trims from the x-line.

Either way they're about $120 a set.
