Looking at a 2012 Msport and have a question.

As stated above it's a 2012 and has the Msport package, it has lumbar and heated rear seats. Is it leather or leatherette? I have not seen it in person so I have no idea how it feels.

Run the last 7 characters of the VIN through a vin decoder such as bmwvin.com and see what it lists for upholstery.

FYI, there are likely fewer 2012s around than any other F25 year. BMW started making them in September of 2011, and stopped making them at the end of March 2012. BMW started building 2013s in April of 2012.

In the US it looks like 2012 MSport (ZMP) required that you also order Premium (ZPP), which included leather. BMW Canada and BMW US have slightly different packages and requirements, so the VIN decode will be your best source of information for that specific X3.
