How much can I get for my X3?

Any one know how much I could get for my '11 F25 with 8k on the odo?

x28i, SAP, Pano Roof, Xenons...Black on black

Seriously? Even if we wanted to guess - you haven't provided nearly enough information. Go to Kelley Blue Book or AutoTrader or similar and find out. One thing for sure - you'll take a pretty big depreciation hit relative to the age at this point.

All we can do is speculate or guess.

CarPrice.com quotes 25% off of market (not MSRP) price for one model year old BMWs. Consumer Reports says previous X3s depreciated 23% during the first model year. Most financial websites list as little as 18% for the hottest models down to 28% for less popular ones. The old "rule of thumb" was that the car dropped 20% in value the moment you registered the title. The highest depreciation is in the first year (actually in the first 5-minutes).

My local dealership had a couple of 2011 X3 demos with less than 5K miles and they were advertised at $10K off MSRP, but that was the asking price, I'm sure they went for much less.

If you paid $42K for the X3, it's probably worth $31K today.

Typical depreciation chart below:

Also, keep in mind that even with the details Lotus has provided, there are many other factors. If you're planning to trade it in, the offer can vary depending on the current dealer stock, how your type of vehicle is selling in their market, etc. You may have a beautiful new red Ferrari, but if they already have 20 red Ferrari's on the lot and their not moving, you'll get a lower offer.

Best bet is to research in the web to get an idea of the general value, then shop it to a dealer or two. If you're up for the extra work (and time) you can get more for it by selling it to a private party.

Naw,...too much work.
I think you should donate it to the Xbimmers.com forum.
We can strip it for parts for whoever wants them. Please put me down for the engine and the wheels.

definately depends on what edmunds and/or cars.com as well as carfax says... if there is something on the carfax report that you are getting rid of it because of, then that won't help your cause.

since nobody else has asked yet, why are you ditching your X3? problems or just not what you want? If its problems, please share - if its something personal like want something else or $$$ than just say its not for mechanical reasons. could also be a good reason...like upgrading to a 35i or an X5 35d

I have a 2011 x3 35i with basic options that retailed for $46k with a late Jan. 2011 delivery, 2500 miles and my dealer offered me $37k in trade on a 2012 528i xdrive. Basically 19 percent depreciation in 8 months. I was hoping for less but expected as much so i still have it.
