Production Number

Recently purchased a X3 28i through diplomatic sales in Belgium to Canadian Spec.

Car is due to be delivered in January. The dealer here gave me a production number of 24. Does that mean anything to anyone?

Great forum by the way. Been a lurker for a while, but decided to join in now that I have my order in.

Nope. No idea. it might be an internal number for BMW Diplomatic Sales program. Untraceable, unfortunately...

I also purchase through diplomatic sales while on Afghanistan. Saved 20% !! I got a regular order number and I am picking it up monday!! You should get all the regular paperwork.

Got a pleasant surprise today. Dealer phoned me here in Belgium to tell me he scrounged an earlier production slot, and instead of the car being here in January it will be ready for delivery on October 15th! That makes it only 2 months from order to delivery in Canadian Spec all the way to Belgium. Not too shabby.
