I even tried messing with different tire pressures to help "tune" everything a little better and it made little difference.

Agreed some of the motion will improve with more damping to better match the higher spring rates, just not the direction I want to take the ride quality. I put Bilsteins on my E36 328iS (sport package) years ago...also not approved for New England roads, and they were on the softest settings.

Omg, thank you for sharing this. Sounds like it is bouncing off the bump stop and unable to use the full travel to engage the dampening. Why is there no discussion about coilovers anywhere? Thank you for the review on the springs!

Just wanted to add my impressions. It's been just over a week now since I installed my H&R springs. I can only imagine that all four shocks were blown on the above poster vehicle for it to be oscillating back and forth. That is not a common occurrence and it definitely is not my experience.
The car feels very planted now. Not bouncy at all, as a matter of fact it's a way better ride than stock. I also do not have sports susp installed unfortunately, but I had planned on upgrading to coil overs at some point anyways. I should add that I also have gone with a 19" wheel and 275/35 tire setup. I believe all combined changes have greatly improved the overall handling in my car.

FYI - I ended up removing the springs after a week. Bad ride on rough roads compared to stock. Was awesome on good roads though.
