I have been getting a "rear camera malfunction" error when I put the car in reverse shortly after picking up my new X3. No big deal I thought, I'll just get it fixed after break in. Well I took it in and the service rep said they had to re-calibrate the camera??? So it worked for a day and then the error message came back. I haven't taken it back in yet but am wondering if anyone else has had this issue. I also have the hitch kit installed which adds a module for viewing the hitch using the rear view camera. Very cool for lining up the hitch with the trailer tongue. I'm thinking this might be part of the issue. Anybody have the hitch kit and no camera problem? Thanks in advance. Oh, and the camera and all of the functions appear to work fine, I just get an error message.
