Parked car ventilation

Has anyone tried out the parked car ventilation? When I'm in the menu, the field to activate the ventilation right away (not the timers) is not selectable. I tried the timers and they work fine, but I can't activate right away. Is this a bug?

For mine at least, if the car is on only timers for future activation when the car is off can be set/selected. If the car is off, the option at the top of the menu becomes available and ventilation can be activated immediately by selecting it.

I figured out the situation. Apparently after you lock the car, then unlock it without starting the engine and turning on the ACC only, you cannot turn on the parked car ventilation right away, only a timer...that's what I was doing, just to see if it worked. If the engine is running, it's like you stated, only the timer. If the engine is running, then you turn off the engine, all options are available like you stated. Fortunately the scenario I was doing is not typical, so it's not an issue.

Had the same issue. Thanks for the solution. Sort of makes sense - if you are a German engineer. There are a number of these. It's almost like the software guys were getting paid by the line of code.

You can also switch on the timer remotely using the BMW Remote app
