Zaino And Plastic

Getting ready to have a Zaino waxing party this weekend. Should Zaino be allowed to touch that black plastic trim around the wheel wells and lower edge of the body? Have had bad experiences with wax and plastic before. What do you find the most effective and least problematic for applying to windows to promote water beading?
Love how the sapphire in the black sparkles in the summer sun, been waiting to get the no-touch auto car wash residue off and wax this thing for months.

Some posters have suggested doing the black plastic first, then body wax.

I could be wrong, but I don't believe Zaino makes a wax. If you are using Z-2PRO Show Car Polish for clear coated car finishes that is a sealant.
I use the Zaino Z2 a couple times a year and love it. If you get the Z2 on the black trim it will wipe right off without any residue (one of the benefits of using a sealant over a wax). Their site actually recommends using it on the trim:

Have fun and post pics when you are done

I just did a Zaino day a few months ago. I didn't specifically put it on the black plastic (though my MSport has a bit less than yours) but I also didn't try to avoid it and it left no marks. I don't think you'll have a problem.

I agree. I applied ZAIO and got a little on the plastic but it wiped off easily. then i applied the Zaino plastic/rubber treatment over it and it looked fine. Going to put Z5 on this w/e.

I've been using the Zaino system for over a year with my X3 Msport Carbon Metalic Black. First used Dawn to take off the dealer's wax, then applied Sealant AIO, washed and applied Z2Pro Car Polish - I wash each week with their amazing car wash and sprintz with the enhancing spray.

No problem with Zaino products effecting trim...

THE CAR ALWAYS LOOKS INCREDIBLE WITH A 'DRIPPING WET' LOOK THAT I LIKE

An 8 hour sealing party...great to get the winter grime off. Still some water drops visible, another hour I guess with a chamois. What are your thoughts about a power buffing wheel with this 'delicate' BMW paint?
