Has anyone replaced their interior bulbs with the BMW LED light module pack (part # 63122212788) ?

Would value any thoughts on whether its worth it and how easy they were to replace etc ?

One of the guys at X5 bought the oem LED bulb pack from BMW and it looked nice!

I searched around a little and I couldn't find a straight answer...if we swap the OEM LEDs, do they still fade off? I replaced my interior lights on my e46 with aftermarkets and I lost that gentle fade-off of the lights.

Yes it will lose the Fade if you switch the normal Halogen lights to LEDs,

Look it this way, like compare the turning lights of Pre LCI E90(halogen) to the LCI E90(LED).

Because, the Halogens consumes more energy thus takes time to travel to power it up thus the fade, in comparison to LED, it consumes less energy to power up the bulb.

The answer is yes, they do still fade out. And they look much better.

I bought a full interior kit from Bimmian in the US, which came with replacement "modules" for the doors and floor lights. Trouble was, they were too big for the holes & didn't fit! After much debate they eventually took them back & replaced them with "peanut" LEDs, which aren't so good. Only problem I now have is figuring a way to get in to the roof light at the front to swap them over. I've even thought of investing in BMW's own 10-bulb kit just so that they would swap them over for me (there goes another £40!) Obviously, they won't touch any non-BMW part....
