:o( Mashed wheel in MSCar Park - Repairer recommendations (UK/SE)

As the title really.. gutted.. front offside into a very high kerb then got caught and managed to scrape the entire rim..

Its all cosmetic so wondered what repairers people had used in the UK (South east area) and would use again.

I may just purchase a replacement RIM, but will still repair it and keep in the garage I think.

Thanks

I've used the chap who does a number of BMW dealers so he uses quality paints and lacquer. Flawless finish and very good price. He's very honest and will let you know if he believes the repair is not worth doing.

Beware those chips away type places that use cheap quality materials. Also as the weather is getting cooler, to get the repair to last it will need heat lamps to cure and possibly an oven if you delay. Your repairer should advise.

Also, the corrosion warranty on the wheel will be void unless you go via BMW.

If you want it done properly go to Lepsons (www.lepsons.com). Not that much more expensive than the guy-with-a-van crew but a completely different world in quality. Its a proper factory refurbishment job. There is another in Tonbridge offering similar process/quality but I can't remember the name.
