1st service

took my x3 in for the 15,000 mile brake job and oil etc. the service guy tells me it doesnt need it. he says the sensors in the car will tell me when the car needs service. I asked, if the sensors were that accurate, and he says yeah they are. when the sensors tell you it needs service the car will let you know and bmw will let you know. Hard to believe but I guess I must trust this technology. A little different than chevy and toyota and you have to constantly monitor this stuff as you go. Well we'll find out as time goes on.

Brake job at 15K mi? Brakes should last longer than that.

My '11 is close to 25000KMs and the Service notice for rear brakes is in 13000KMs, so around 23500 miles. The front brakes notice should be around 35000 miles if I remember.
