Close Trunk from inside

Sorry for the newbie question. Is there any way to close the trunk from the inside, or is the button on the hatch the only way?

Thanks

I have a button near the window switches on the driver's door. There's also a handle on the trunk itself, inside and out, just pull it.

mine is not there, its located near the hood latch. And in fact I can't close the tail gate from the inside, nor with the remote.

Also, can't close the gate without the keys (with comfort access) this is so stupid. I was unloading the groceries, wife took the other car and leave . x3 keys was in her purse . Well the tail gate remains open until she came back. (couldn't find the spare key somewhere in the drawer in the house)

I got the enet cable to code this.

Garage List
Pre-LCI needs coding to close the hatch via either button near the hood latch or key fob.

what are the fees?

I started using ncs expert and e-sys because all I wanted on my E90 was the angel eye DRL.

Bimmergeek licence was 100$ cad alone for coding, and something like 170$ cad for all reading.

That was expensive for my needs. They should do credit/coding, just like OBDeleven on VW. They would have my money.

Anyway, watched a 15 min video to learn how to use those free software, and it was so easy, that I never bother to get a app licence.

Bimmercode is cheap. You download it to your phone from the app store for about $31 US. Then you just have to buy one of their recommended OBD port dongles for about the same price - I bough the VeePeak. Then coding yourself is super-easy.

Yes it's a very good deal and tool. Plus it's not locked to 1 car. I already did 3 other cars under the same purchase

Umm, what? Just reach up, grab the thing, and pull it down to close it.

You start pulling on it, it figures out what's up, and closes it for you.

Also FWIW I realize it looks like I was calling you out for being dumb or something. Sorry, that wasn't my intent. I just kind of laugh when, myself included, we tend to overlook simple answers to things!
