2013 X3 F25 A/C refrigerant charging question

Recently, I noticed that I am not getting cold enough air for A/C system.
I just decided to charge the refrigerant using.

134a Suva https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Charging hose https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

However it happened to over charge looking at the gauge. So I wanted to discharge by opening the charging hose valve. it seemed working well. however I found some oily stuff coming out as well as refrigerant.

Can anybody tell what that is? is that normal? I think the A/C air got colder after all of this work. but worry about the oil stuff.

Thanks in advance.

a/c systems require lubrication for the compressor bearings; that lubrication is oil that is added to the refrigerant charge (Freon). The system has specs as to how much Freon and oil is required for optimal operation.

I'd recommend you have a shop do a/c work; they have the equipment to charge the car's system. In doing so they connect the a/c in your car to an evacuation pump and evacuate the existing charge and 'recharge' with proper amount of Freon and the lubricating oil. The shop will also inspect for leaks by either holding vacuum on the system for 30-60 minutes while observing a digitl pressure gauge for movement, loss of pressure; they might also put a dye in with the charge, if there is a leak the dye can easily be detected to identify where the leak(s) are located.

Good luck/Bill

a lot of details here if you want to look: https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/f...check/2SqAkeDI
