Talking I bought a 2021 BMW X3 (my review so far)

Hey all,
I bought a new X3 recently and I am loving the experience soo far! I came from a F30 320d xdrive and this new X3 is a huge improved in refinement and even fuel economy. I have been averaging 48mpg so far in my xdrive20d M sport which is a fair bit more than the 41.8mpg I got with my time with the 3 Series.
My spec of my X3 is a Phytonic Blue with the black leather interior in M sport trim with the tech pack.
Here is a link to a video I made on my X3 if anyone wishes to see my car

That’s great fuel economy, what sort of roads is that on? My 30d is doing 31 mpg at the moment admittedly mainly town driving but I’ve got mine used so it’s already run in so was expecting a bit more.

Good choice or car and welcome.

I've had my X3 (same great colour) for two years now (was 8 months old on purchase) and have been delighted with it. My first BMW and like the fit and finish, style, looks and performance. Managed to keep the mileage to 7k per year as I've access to another car, but you just want to drive it. Fast! Niggles? Very few - probably the piano black centre console trim which needs a wipe every time. Oh, and the fact I park away from people and someone always parks next to me. 🤬🤬

I'm not into the heavy customising or part swapping some owners are, and on mine just added a boot liner (from carbon.co.uk), fitted front and rear dash cams, which was fun removing panels to conceal the wiring (they are hard wired too) and changed the grills. With all the black elsewhere, the chrome bugged me so I bought a pair of genuine BMW black grills for around £130, fitted in 5-10 mins. Makes it look a bit more mean?

Enjoy your car.

I've just 28,000 miles done and always keep my fuel fill data on a spreadsheet with all my cars...current efficiency re: over all mileage per gallon is 42.4 mpg.

Clearly short stop start journeys are less and long journeys yield much more but overall I think that's very good X3 G01 2.0d...2018 from new.

May I ask where you mounted the rear dash cam?

I'm taking delivery of exact same vehicle on Friday. Hoping that I see a lot better return on my fuel consumption going from my current 335d. Can't wait as I was expecting it a month ago but a stop check on the starter connection held up delivery.
