Lease protection with lease

Hi everyone, If you are leasing your X3, did you get BMW lease protection with the vehicle? It's a $1,499 option for my 4 year lease starting soon. Would love to get opinion and insight if it's a good idea or no - It ends up being $35 per month (Canadian) and I don't have to pay security deposit at all, TIA

Waste of money unless you're in the habit of destroying vehicles in 4 years.
