Early F series cars came with the PWG turbos. I told you, MY 2015 cars came with EWG turbos. I provided dynographs - at this point, you're being purposely obtuse.
So you concede your information is incorrect.

F30 was first manufactured in 2011... now you're saying it's only on 2015 cars? It's a different debate... 2015 is LCI.

Just say you said something wrong and it's ok. We all make mistakes.

It's not incorrect. Some 2014MY F series cars came with PWG turbos, it's a mix and that's just how BMW does things. It's nothing to do with me being incorrect because there ABSOLUTELY is a difference between an E series N55 and a F series N55.

There is a recent thread on it here:

https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1559827

Basically if you took the moment to actually research your position before you said anything, this conversation would have never happened.

Glad I could educate you though.

Your link is not a "source" an does not relate to the conversation and the claim...

I'm not sure you're not seeing this on purpose just to say "you're being obtuse" "You're a bad member from whom you expected nothing" and "I'm glad I could educate you"...

The link talks about the variations of N55, which absolute exist (M2 is one, M135 is another, possibly M235 another one).

The debate is: video in this thread and claim of a 335i E90 or 335i F30 being different.

Prove your point with a source.

So far you were able to pull the information from realoem showing they're THE SAME, but a different version came out for LCI on the F30.

What are you on about?

They aren't the same.

One more time - there are TWO different part numbers for the N55 turbo - I posted them

11657648913
F series Turbo operated by an electronic wastegate

11657636424
E Series Turbo operated by a pneumatic wastegate

This was your original claim:

This isn't an opinion - the Newer F series turbo does NOT appear on E series cars - I posted the RealOEM application chart. I didn't say anything about the Engine Block itself.

So what are you arguing? That everyone on this forum is wrong and you're right because the burden of proof doesn't reach your arbitrary threshold?

This would be hilarious if it weren't so ridiculous.

I'm not saying everyone on this forum is wrong.

Just you.

And I'll side with the Realoem representation indicating the turbochargers are the same for E90 and F30 as you posted before. Thanks for confirming.

Can't debate moving goalposts like this.

I'm glad you changed your wording and conceded your earlier point to be imprecise.

That, however, did not make my statement "totally false", as both of you stated. And I'm glad you have since clarified your meaning, albeit a little late.

Have a great day wise man.

There is no moving goal posts. Man up and accept your loss - at this point you're trying to save face.

You said there are no difference between an E series N55 and F series N55: That's false -

11657648913 - Turbocharger is NOT found on ANY E series car.

And I like how you singled out my post but missed this gem

OnerDriver, to be fair you did say there are no mechanical differences on an N55 between 135i or 335i E8x 9x or F3x. And that is wrong, F3x could also be F30 LCI which obviously has EWG, its not like you stated "F3x Pre-LCI." So if someone who did not know any better and did not do any research, could listen to you and end up buy the wrong turbo replacement or wrong waste gate actuator.

While that is true, the intent here is to discuss their performance, not to assist anyone to get the right part for their vehicle.

And I was countering a statement that said E90 and F30 have different turbos, which is also false.

And, again, for the purposes of which car will be able to make more power, the initial statement of the turbos being different is incorrect. Sure BMW may have put some in the mix, and a new turbo came for some LCI vehicles (see the F35 still using the same turbo used on a E90 on its LCI version, for example).

So, again, what you're saying is true, but one can't take it face value that because one is an F30, it'll automatically be "faster" like the other guy said (he said E90 had a narrower power band and less power).

I definitely see what you are saying..

I think the biggest difference that matters in that race with E90 and X3 F25 is the 8-speed transmission in the X3, which is obviously superior

Also I do believe the turbo is slightly different but it might just be in the turbine part itself and not actually the housing and design. The part numbers are different, so there must be something that is different about it.

Actually on Realoem.com under my VIN it shows part number 11657636426 for the turbocharger that is used on X3/X4 35i models. I'm pretty sure these have some mechanical differences.

I'm sure they have some differences...

But the X3 is so heavy though lol only tuned to be compared to a similar 3 series.

Many factors at play, and the 8 speed vs a manual and AWD vs RWD will definitely be major components in a drag race.

My tuned 135i cannot even read the licence plate of my stock X3 28i...

...In the winter

Haha, at first I was like what! Got me with the winter comment lol

The first time I drove my X3 I fell in love with the 8-speed, it is better than the DSG in my Audi S4. Are there any TCU tunes available for these tranny's yet?

X3 can be made into a little year-round animal with PS1 upgrade.. perfect for daily!

In all the time I was drag racing (quarter mile), I never had anyone ask "what was your 330 foot?" Besides, in your scenario you still lose and the other car is pulling away.

FWIW, it is possible to design a race between a human and a racehorse where the human wins.

You didn't say anything about FASTER - you claimed that an E series and F series N55 was identical - you are wrong.

(per my vin - car is NOT an LCI)
