X3 vs Evoque

I'm really curious. For about 2 months now I have been set on trading in my 2005 MDX for a black x3 35i with sport activity package. For the second day in a row, I've noticed this sick white Evoque while driving around town.

Has anybody tried it out? How does it compare to the typical sporty BMW feel that, as an m3 and 135i owner, I must have

I also heard that there is only one engine available. Kind of a turn off right there.

Please do a search on this forum - there are already plenty of threads on the issue (one of which is already on this first page). However I will say that if you're looking at the X3 35i, the Evoque simply has no engine option to match regardless of what market you are in.

Try an Evoque forum. If its the look that gets you, go for it, but you'll feel the sick sinking feeling of failure in your gut every time an X3 blows your doors off while you're on your way to service.

The Evoque is like one of those Thai ladboys. Looks the real deal and exciting from the outside, but dig a little deeper and under the skin and you'll be in for a shock and disappointment.

ROTFLOL

It's been a while since the my test drives and dilemma of which to buy ... and so it was interesting to sit in a friend's brand new white Dynamic at the weekend again.

It really looked nice, but every time I seen an Evoque the proportions plague me more and more ... sitting inside bothered me even more and it felt really cramped ... that said it was only a basic level one ... and without the nice leather dash it looks kinda sucky.

Shame their panoramic sunroof doesn't open ...

For sure, the longer I sat in it the more reassured I was I didn't want one.
