Great! I plasti-dipped them black and ran them last winter (about 2500 miles). They have excellent on road behavior (not squishy like my prior Blizzaks) and were more than capable in a couple big storms. They also have a nice, low offset (though still within spec) so they poke a bit more than the OEM wheels (works out to the equivalent of a 5-8mm spacer). The following photos chronicle my journey home in a blizzard that dumped 10-24" snow from VT to NYC.

On that trip, they demonstrated plenty of purchase to break through deep snow/berms at low speed, ample traction on snow covered highways (3"+) at speed (60mph+) and handled ice/slush near NYC as well the Nokian Hakka R2s that I ran on my E83.

I wasn't expecting as much- I knew they were a good tire- but I was blown away by their performance on that one trip.

Plasti-Dip

Before snow (2014)

What I woke up to (the morning of the trip mentioned above)

Underway.

Proof that we were moving! We threw up quite a rooster tail.

Fast forward to last weekend- peeled off the plasti-dip (and I have pristine OZ's) before mounting. If anyone is interested, I'm likely trading my X3 in on a RRS sport in the next couple weeks. I'll likely end up listing the winter set- if you're interested, PM me.

cSurf RRS Sport is that an Audi ?
Yes shoot me a PM
Do share more Space Gray pics of your ride.

I love my Alpine White and the 15+ look even better in Silver/SpaceGray/AlpineWhite than the ~14 models from what I'm seeing. But I might be selling it and getting a 15-16 model since i want LEDs lightning pkg & 35i =D

I'll dig up a few more pics this weekend. You'll love the 35i. Personally, I think SG really compliments this car well.

If you're looking try and find an MSport package with staggered 19". Very few people realize that you could option summer tires (mine are P-Zeros) on 9.5" rears/8.5" front with the MSport package (for free).

And RRS = Range Rover Sport.

Funny you mention that, I'm going to go on the next weekend to a few BMW and Mercedes Dealerships to see which one gives me the best # and then go to Carmax. I would drive the GLA 45 AMG if they give me good price for my car. Heck, the BMW Free Maintenance is nothing critical as I thought, when they use crappy oil on your car and sounds like tractor.

The direct injection noise on the N20/8 is much harsher than on the N55.

CLA would be similar- an over-boosted I4 can't compete with a low-pressure I6 in feel (even if peak output is similar).

I test-drove a CLA 45 AMG in the spring it was very nice but I know the GLA 45 AMG is even better. Although it doesn't sound nothing like the N20/N26, and N55 sounds nice (exhaust). I did notice a recent 2015 X3 35i I test-drove has a weird idle knocking noise from engine bay and car only has 4,461 miles.

I don't know about you guys, but I think the M-sport package on the LCI X3 looks AMAZING. Much better than the previous generations and probably is one of my favorite M-sport packages that BMW offers!!

I love the M-Sport look, but couldn't pony up the extra $5K just for the M-Sport package.

You guys in the US are lucky with the prices. Everyone down there goes for the M-Sport, and I don't blame ya, I would too if our prices are anywhere close to yours.

If we're lucky we get 6-6.5% off list price for a new BMW X3. That is it. When I read some people posting discounts of $8-12K off list, my jaw just dropped.

I went with Mineral White and Mocha leather. Took her in 2 days ago. She's a beaut; love the ride.
