Something potentially leaking from the front of the car
Hello,
I lifted only the front of the car to remove the wheels and replace the dust guards, that's not the point although. While lifting the car there was nothing underneath it, no spillage, and can't seem to remember the armature, fitting, whatever it is thingy. The fluid is I'd say greenish. Dapped some on a paper towel, I don't smell anything. What could this be, what to do, and did I fuck it up big time. Thanks |

Armature? That second picture is part of your exhaust pipe. The fluid is not coming from that, but may be dripping on to that. You need to look from above at that area. Otherwise, wipe it off and check again in a day or two. The only greenish fluid, if your car has hydraulic steering, is the power steering fluid.

Agree if the oil is green its pentosin/power steering fluid. If the reservoir in the engine bay is oily, the seal has failed there and fluid is slowly dripping down the lines.
If not, its either the pump or the rack. |

As others mentioned, there is no power steering fluid, power steering is electric.
I would check for an oil pan leak, while driving, the oil can travel to the back, on the exhaust etc. Also, check for a head-gasket leak, that can also travel down. |

Have you ever replaced the coolant? Bmw coolant is usually blue but if you never replaced it then it's possible previous owner had changed to green coolant. Check your coolant reservoir. If it's green. I'd investigate much more.
