Upon a routine inspection I was made aware that for some reason, the metalic boot clamp, for the front right cv drive axle, is missing.

Can I just replace that with a regular round metal screw clamp? as the alternative would be to order some oem repair kit and the labour cost they quoted is insane. I think it's a 9mm width band I need, maybe 80-90mm in diameter, can anyone confirm please as I forgot to measure at the time.

There is no damage, no leaks or cracks, is just that the clamp is missing... everything looks ok.

You are probably better off using a heavy duty plastic tie wrap.

I'd use this type in the appropriate size.

I'd only recommend a tie wrap in an emergency.

Thank you, do you know what size I need? as in width and diameter? I found some online but I don't know what size to order.

I don't think anybody will know the exact size without measuring under there. It's not a detail anybody would have a reason to know.
