F25 2.0L Diesel Twin Exhaust

I have fancied changing the oval single pipe for some time - so what do you all think?

Nice.....

Much prefer the dual exhaust to the oval..

What did you have to replace to get the dual exhausts ?

Cheers..

Hi aacon,

The kit is simply the single into dual pipe that comes from the back box. The single pipe is cut off and the dual pipe is fitted on and clamped.

This was supplied and fitted by BMW.

BMW quoted £335 all in but charged £325 as they said they saved some time on labour. I got the old pipe back in case I want to restore it when I come to sell the car.

Good choice. I think that looks really good as the single pipe on our cars does look a bit naff. £325 sounds like a really good price as it just finishes off the rear end nicely.

If I hadn't just had an expensive month, think I'd be on the phone to my dealer to negotiate a good price.

Hi I had also this exhaust fitted last year in nov (2013) when I picked my car up!

See photos: http://x3.xbimmers.com/forums/showth...=460044&page=2

Picture 4 & 5 I think
Really like the look over the thin oval look.

The twin exhaust is definetly a nice hop-up, because the stock oval-exhaust is a bit tiny for a car of this size especially combined with the M-Sport kit.

I actually went a step further with my upgraded twin exhaust and mounted a set of rounded 75mm chrome-tips on top of them to make them look a bit beefier:-) They fit like a glove:-)

What do you guys think?

@ philtrick123: Unfortunately here in Switzerland the 30D costs about £10k more!

Hi slyfox, thanks for posting a link to your car. I remembered seeing it a while ago and thinking your car looks great and the exhaust so much nicer than the oval standard! Did BMW fit it before you took delivery of the car?

Hi Ian. Thanks:-) Unfortunately BMW does not have any OEM tips, that would fit the 75mm pipes... or atleast that is what they told me. Instead I tried my luck on ebay.co.uk. You ought to find them under "volvo 850 quality exhaust tail pipe chrome tip end muffler 48mm-75mm". It's not OEM, but they DO look great anyway:-)

atrueb thanks for your reply! I am starting to have a look for the chrome tips that you have. I think it is a further improvement and it sure looks good on your car!
