BMW X3 f25 car eye compatible?
Just purchased. A Nextbase 622gw (hardwired) and this is triggering a battery discharge fault overnight due to the parking mode facility. (this did not happen with my old dash cam also hard wired) How do I go about geting round this. As the BMW own car eye apparently does not suffer this as it’s wired differently. Or would I be better to change to the Car Eye and is it compatible to my car (2016 f25 3.0d m sport).

Tap into the cigarette lighter circuit. It only stays live for a few minutes after shutdown.

That only as good as plugging it into a switchable fuse. The battery life on the Nextbase is limited to about 10 minutes after powering down the supply power making the parking mode useless after the internal battery is drained, but thanks for the suggestion.

I ended up using a couple of dash-cam batteries.... 24/7 coverage now.

Hi yes think that the way I need to go but they are a lot of money. Was also wondering if I link it to a switch that monitors power and switches the supply to a power source that switches on when car is locked such as the alarm as that is powered when the car is locked. Just purchased a suitable electronic switch £10, need to test my theory and see if it still throws up the Battery Discharge warning.
