2015 x3 35i making stock power on MHD stg 2

Hello, new to the forum.

I have a 2015 BMW X3 msport 35i. Mods are CP and IC. I am running MHD stage 2 (93 oct).

The problem I am having is that the car is not making the power it should. Draggy is giving me a 0-60 of 5.29 and 1/4 mile in the 13.7x range. I think these are stock numbers - not the numbers of a stage 2 car.

By contrast, my 2015 335i runs a 4.2x 0.60 and 12.14 to 12.3x quarter mile on stage 2 + with the e20 map.

I know stage 2 93 oct will be slower than stage 2+ e20. I also know the x3 is heavier. But my expection was a high 4s 0-60 and low 13s, high 12s 1/4.

I did change out the oem plugs for NGKs and gapped them to .22. Could it be that they are gapped too tight? I also have replaced the coils with new Delphis. Is this a fuel pump issue? I have linked some logs below and would really appreciate any insights.

The x3 only has 26k miles on it.

Only person I know with documented X3 modded numbers is N55David.
I think the best time he ran with similar mods to you was like 4.5 0-60 and 12.9 1/4 mile

Your numbers do sound like stock numbers but a bad launch could easily take .5 off of where you should be.

So you presume it's making stock power because it's not as fast as a way more aerodynamic, lighter and lower car with the same engine?

I see that comparison but he also gives his modded numbers and when you compare them to stock numbers his claims make sense.

I'm just about FBO, N55 with PWG, MHD E30 map, xHP Stg 3, and best pass out of my first three with the X3 was 13.7 @ 99mph. (the slip says 13.8 but I'm saying 13.7 because it hesitated for a second in 1st, so without that hesitation it definitely should've been a 13.7). Also removed rear seat-backs which weight a friggin' ton. Going again this weekend now with a Walbro 450 pump installed, and muffler delete (basically straight-piped now) hoping to see better numbers. ... it also has just over 200k now though so I'm sure at least the turbo is a little tired these days. I think top end suffers simply because it's a suv and also AWD vs RWD with that extra loss in drivetrain.

With launching, all three runs I tried something different. First run I didn't build any boost. Second run I built whatever it built with about 50% throttle, third run I tried what xHP calls "Launch Mode". Gas pedal down with the kickdown button pushed (I think it's hogwash honestly). Best launch I had was what I did on the second run.

So knowing that the extra power from the mods doesn't really translate to faster times, do you still think it's worth it?

Does it feel significantly faster than stock? Good for you for having an FBO N55 in an SUV with 200k miles lol that's awesome.

Numbers look about right....SUV vs F30 is going to be a big difference. IC will help greatly to keep temps down and heat soak, but honestly need a downpipe.

Yeah, compared to stock it pulls like a beast. I would imagine stock 1/4 times would probably be around 15's, but I never tested it then so I don't really know. 1st-4th gear pulls are great, you feel it through there the most, especially 1st-3rd. Catless downpipe and FMIC made significant differences, turbo-lag after the downpipe is nearly nonexistent (but some peeps don't like the smell with catless). xHP tune in stage 3 made significant feel-it-in-the-seat increase as well, you can immediately tell it pulls harder with that also. And after doing the LPFP to the 450, the pulls are way better, not so much more power feels, but stronger and smoother until redline.

Is it worth it? Depends. I'm a little bias. I enjoy modding my cars, so even though it's not going to equate to bigger power numbers, it still has made it a more enjoyable grocery getter that can holds it's own against modded e92 335i's, F30 M3's, and late model 435iM's to give you an idea. I had an E90 335i fbo 6spd and some more, prior to this, and it [obviously] doesn't really even compare. It's just an X3 and it kinda sucks because after you add fbo stuff that's [hardly] available for this platform, everything else starts getting expensive. Sure you could get a stage 1 or 2 turbo, $1000+, could get headwork done, $1500+, cams $1300+, but for an X3 and not having disposable funds, how far do you want to take it? Could also go for some lightweight wheels like Apex or Rennsports, stock wheels weigh a ton and that will help to at least get more of the power you have down to the ground, you'll feel that increase in all handling aspects.

My best 60ft was 1.9887. That was launching with whatever boost it was making with about 50% throttle. 0-60mph idk
