Hello,
I took my car to dealership to fix overheating issue, they replaced the water pump. But after i took the car , I was driving like normal and on red light i changed to mode to Sports and gave acceleration, All of a sudden , i got a drive train malfunction light followed by engine light. Whenever i start my car , it shows me rough idle , RPM going up n down for a minute. Or whenever i try to give accelerator a little tight. I check to other nearby mechanic , he found some MAS codes , he reset them and still after sometime engine light came in. I just found under hood. This big black hose which is opened. What is this hose ? Is that the cause of the issue ? Can i fix it by myself or have to take it to mechanic again? Picture attached |

That is indeed your problem. Check to see if it is cracked, they are notorious for failing. If not then grab it and push it into position over the metal inlet until you here the metal clip click into place.

Had it done any damage to my engine ? I hardly drive it for 100km in 3 days since i pick it up from workshop. I am thinking to take it to them and show them why they left it open

Looks like the mechanic who cleared the mass air fault codes did not inspect the car; if he would have looked he should have spotted that loose air intake hose and corrected the leak, then the codes would not have re-appeared. Or maybe the hose cane loose after you left the shop?

Let the dealership's maintenance manager know they left the charge pipe disconnected from the throttle body. They probably dont care, but if they do they might offer you something for your trouble.
