What a let down on those rear lights from the 8 series and Z4 concept. They look so cheap, I hope they manage to make the production 8 series & Z4 version more upscale looking like the respective concepts lights.
On another note, BMWs design so all over the place so the X4s taillights will be similar to the 8 series and Z4 but not at all related to the X3 which is what it’s related to. Keep all the X cars with consistent design, keep all the coupes with consistent design and keep all the sedans with consistent design... SMH...

That rear looks really good and I'm not one that likes compromised "coupe-suv". Its also a huge change compared to the regular X3. I need to see more shots as I can't picture that rear with the new front though.

Exactly. I hate it that the German automakers are always trying to copy one another: MB's slim rear lights are copied from Porsche and now BMW are copying MB.

I would take one without the OEM luggage rack, I would put on a Thule rack instead. |

It'll grow on us, speaking as a F26 owner. I love my X4 M-sport, but I also love the GLC 300/43/63 Coupes...
wait till they drop the full-M variant with wide flared wheel arches with some fat ass wheels/brakes and those thin, coupe lights will look quite spot on.. If anything the front of it (g01/g02) is too ... mehh |

Thank you for the pictures.
I can't make a logical decision yet based off of the two pictures posted. She's not sitting in her natural state with the trailer hauler tie downs, what makes an X4 sexy to me, is that round back end. I am excited about the new look, but I'm infatuated with my current X4 M40i. And it maybe quite sometime before I get to see the new style on the road. When they first introduced the X4 I think it took about 2 years before I seen one on the road. DCG; Sir, that is one sexy looking X4 you've got. Nice white background from the snow highlighting that gorgeous exterior color. Love those rims to. |

A bit split. On the one hand these spy pictures almost never do it justice and I haven?t been a fan of M Sport styling for the X3/4 for several generations so it might help with X-Line and seeing it live

I like the rear a lot. The front, not so much, not sporty at all. Doesn't look good on the X3 and neither does on the X4.
What we see here however - for better or for worse - is the rear lights of the new 8 Series and Z4(more or less) which is a huge let down considering how amazingly three dimensional were on the concepts. |
