Looking for winter RIMS and tires - need help

Hello all,

I have a 2015 X4 35i M package and the current wheel/tire setup is as follow:
Front: 245/40R20
Rear: 275/35R20

I am looking for winter rims and tires (square setup)and my buddy is giving me his rims VMR 710. They are 8.5 x 19in (offset 35), they came off his 2012 335i.
will his rims fit on my X4?if so, I will buy brand new winter tires for it so will the correct tires be 245/45R19?

thanks in advance as always.

Sorry you didn't get a reply. Did you get the sizing figured out?

A good tire shop should be able to help you, that is how I resolved my tire purchase last year.

I went with 18" wheels because there were far more winter tire choices in that size. Look was fine on the car and I was able to get Hakka run flats -- did not want to trying to deal with a flat in the winter. Was a beast in the snow.

Got these 18x8.5" from Merson Auomotive in Montreal (not far from you).

245/50/18 Nokian Hakka 8s (non-studded)

I had never heard of Nokian tires before "being shown the way"... especially the Hakka 8s.... these things make you feel like a winter nomad crossing the polar ice cap. I mean, they're from Finland... and I'm pretty sure they invented the snowflake, or at the very least the winter tire back in the day.

Oh yeah, they don't wear out.. i mean, after a full winter of abuse, there's no noticeable thread wear anywhere, front or rear axle.

Hands down, the ABSOLUTE BEST WINTER TIRE MONEY CAN BUY! Trust a fellow Canadian!
