Hmm, pretty interesting... BMW is really setting up a completely different spectrum of cars. Every number will correspond with each type of car.

I do like both the X4 and X6 and have nothing wrong to say about the X3 or X5 either. I'm going to sell my Toyota Landcruiser (Prado) soon and are really considering the X3, but must admit I got a little bit unsure when I saw the X4. I like it
Fact is, I do not need the extra size of the X5/X6. But I need the ground clearance. You know, not all of us drive on the highways all the time If BMW had made a version of the F1x og F3x like the Audi Allroad that would be my first choice. But as long as I do want a BMW the X3/X4 will be my choice. The X5/X6 costs way to much all the time I don't need a car of that size. And don't ask me why I have had Prados the past ten years when I don't need such a big car |

I prefer the x3 especially with its current size and with the x5 too big and too expensive ... The x3 makes a lot of sense exterior wise (over the x4) ... The interior needs an upgrade, same for the x4 ... I was hoping for this new x3/x4 to get the x5 interior treatment ... Too bad! Is the x3 available in June as well?

Assuming the X4/X6 models have a lower center of gravity than the X5/X3, I think they are a good option to consider for the person who prefer cars over trucks, and need stronger suspension and bigger wheels for the constant roads in bad shape.

4-series Michigan edition I'm all for increased suspension travel and more tire to deal with our apocalyptic road system.

I think it looks good, but too similar to the x3. I feel like the front fender is the exact same sheet metal. Problem is this should have been a competitor to the macan, but I don't think anyone would chose this over the macan.

X4 v 3GT v 4GC
To really appreciate the nuances, how about a visual comparison between the choices - X4 vs 3GT vs 4GC.
Personally, I think they should follow Honda's lead and drop the crosstour (3GT), but people keep buying them, so who can argue with profits. |

No amount of photography skills will make these hideous things look any better! Perhaps photograph them with the car cover on.

I like the rear and the roof line but that's it. Unless it looks significantly better in person, X4 will be a relative flop. Maybe I revisit BMW for the next set of models; in 5-7 years?

What's the point of the faux air ducts on the sides of the M Sport bumper if they don't actually work??
Let's hope that is just a pre-production model... probably not though.

nope...after the options for both X3 & X4... they are about $60k+....quite ridiculous.
seems like all bmw after options are $45k+ even with LOW starting price.

Besides the obvious lack of wide wheels for a stance (easily fixed with new rims), something looks off about the production versus the gorgeous concept. Of course I didn't expect the door handles or other obvious concept like items to make it, but I couldn't figure out why the production one looks so weak.
After staring at the 2 photos - the biggest difference is the rear bumper. The product one looks extremely cheap and a after thought for costs and manufacture ability . Side skirts too but I can live with those. I think with a proper rear bumper + twin exhaust outlets and the right wheel setup will really bring this car out. |

A lot more standard features are listed supposedly. I was hoping it would only be a 3k premium but I believe adaptive drive, paddle shifters and a few other performance oriented goodies are standard on the X4 compared to X3. Still a lot of details, but we wont know until the pricing list and options list comes out. Im scared of the premium for M Sport which on the X5 is 5k and on the x3 currently sits at 3k. So well see.
