Bad oil leak

Hello,

So I pulled out of my garage today in my beloved 2016 X3 and saw oil on the ground where the car was parked. Popped the hood and saw oil badly leaking as seen in the enclosed photo. Any ideas?

Thanks!

Can’t say for sure but I would say high probability oil filter head gasket. (Top 3 most common issues with this motor) if that’s what it is and you get it fixed MAKE SURE the shop primes it prior to starting the motor.

Also, don’t drive it the belt can fall off the pulley and shred into your motor which blows it. Get it looked at/fixed ASAP.

Good luck

I agree, have them change the “Mickey Mouse” coolant fitting while in there…

Probably charge pipe and water pump. Valve cover gasket comes along sometime too.
