Any ideas of what I might have done wrong?
The car worked a week ago. In the last few months, I noticed the starter took longer and longer to start the car, and last week it finally gave up.
I put in a new starter today and surprisingly, it cranks strong! However, the car won't start now. I know I must have done something wrong and was wondering if anyone had troubleshooting ideas? When I push the start button, the car cranks for maybe 5 seconds and stops. Afterwards, the fan turns on and runs pretty hard. That's strange, because the car isn't even on... I disconnected both battery terminals and left them alone for 30 minutes to hopefully reset the ecu, and tried to start the car again, but no luck. It just cranks, stops, and the fan turns on, until I close the door and lock the car. Any ideas? |

Not sure if it matters, but I have 2 engine codes, but I think they were on before the car stopped starting.
