Front passenger window wont open. Just a shrieking sound.

For the Window regulator issue Dealership quoted like $1600 since they have to replace with the entire kit which includes glass, motor and regulator for both sides. (says they don't have the part just for the front right window regulator)

Any DIY tips / part no.

I'm confused which part to order for the front right(passenger) window regulator. Its a 2011 X3. Looks like original parts are discontinued. Do I need to replace motor as well

It’s often the mechanism that binds, craps out. You can probably power up the motor and see if it’s dead or alive.

motor actually seems ok since I hear the sound as well and based on what dealer has said.

But looks like BMW is only selling the entire kit for X3/f25 made before 04/2013. The entire kit includes glass, motor and regulator for both front sides for around $750. Part no 51357382135 . But all I need is window regulator for front right.

There is part 51337355636 which is just regulator only but says for vehicle manufactured after 04/13.

is there any Non-OEM regulator which can do the job. $750 parts + labor to replace both sides seems high since I may not keep the car too long
