Long distance cruiser
I have had my X3 about 6 months now and apart from everything else, it is the best long distance cruiser I have ever owned. Trips south through Germany and across France have proved effortless. Today I have just driven over 600 miles from the North of Scotland to the West Country, with just two short breaks for coffee again it was effortless and I arrived still feeling fresh.

I assume you have a 2.0D ? We managed 40mpg @ 70mph over 11 hours coming back from Austria to UK last winter.

It is a fantastic long distance cruiser esp with the sport seats! I have the N20 engine and it loves the highway and its sweet spot is 75 mph for the best mpg. I did the trip last year from Washington DC to Tampa and I managed to do it in one go and stopping twice for fuel.
