Has anyone done the 5DP Park Assist Retrofit on the LCI X3? I am looking for answers as to how many Sensors are needed, The vehicle has all the prerequisites including the PDC sensors in the front and rear bumpers. I am just wondering if all that is required are the retrofit are the 2 additional front bumper side sensors? Looking at RealOEM i only see 2 front side sensors nothing for the rear side.

- PMA control unit
- 2 additional ultrasonic sensors in front bumper (total 10 including PDC)
- EPS (electromechanical power steering)

Thank you, I am assuming the 2 extra connectors for the Front Bumper are not already in the harness blank. Also do you know if the markings for the location to cut out on the inside of the bumper are there?

Unfortunately this is something where I notice differences between EU and US. Lots of US people saying their car was prepped for an option in terms of harness or markings, while me from the EU never benefited from such a thing. Answering from a EU perspective: no, both harness and bumper will not be prepped for this.

i have retrofitted the 5DP (Park Assistant) ... for our F25, we only have option of adding the additional front 2 side sensors near the wheel arch. Yes the bumper from the inside has the marking where to drill the holes.

So with only 2 front sensors, we can only do Side Parking. We cannot auto park at Perpendicular parking lot as our module is still at PMA, the never PMA2 or PMA3 can do those type of parking and will require the rear bumper sensor.
