X3 vs Cadillac CTS Wagon

I know this might seem like an odd comparison. But really there is not much of a difference between the two....

Cadillac CTS 3.0 AWD Wagon - PROS
- Price ($48 vs $53)
- Interior

BMW X3 28i - PROS
- smoothness of engine and transmission
- gas mileage (about 1 or 2 MPG better)

Roughly Equal
- handling
- AWD
- warranty
- maintenance
- interior space
- level of luxury

Any feedback?

If you don't need the ground clearance the world opens up to the 328xi Touring and the Audi A4 or S4 Avant. Any of those wagons will run rings around any truck, including the X3.

Looked at Cadillac SRX and I found X3 much roomier. Hubby couldn't sit totally straight up in the back seat of SRX while in X3 it was no problem. I hate wagons so haven't even looked at those at all.

The beauty of wagons is lower CoG, so typically much better handling. They also have suspension that doesn't have to cope with an elevated ride height, so is much less compromised on ride. It's a shame people don't get wagons. An M5 or E63 wagon in full flight is a great sight to see and way cooler than any truck will ever be.

i dunno i have a 2008 328xi wagon e91 - and i'm trading in for an X3 - should be in next week. There is a big difference in space between the E91 and the F25.

I agree an M5 wagon would be sweet! i blame US hatred of wagons on the Brady Bunch... damn them all

Yep, just depends on what you need. X1 or 3 Touring would be big enough for me. 5er would be sweet, but that's a bit spendy for me, I think. Maybe F31 is in my future.
