Ipad headrest mount
Does anyone have the ipad holder that is mounted on the headrest? Saw it on the accessories brochure of bmw usa as part of the Communication and information package. Any feedback on this one? It seems good for keeping children entertained and watch downloaded movies during long drives. Waswondering if they can be ordered on its own and not part of the package? I have the base attachment for headrest bars for my coathanger and the ipad hoder for bmw can be securely mounted using this as well according to the brochure so was hoping to get comments from our american friends and feedback if the ipad holder is any good. Also, is it compatible with ipad 2?

ya this site has a bunch of reviews of Ipad headrest mounts I would get the Db Tech if you want one that works with both Ipad and Ipad 2 http://Ipadheadrest.net/

This is where I first sighted the IPAD holder at CNET (See clip on Paris Motor Show 2010): A visual take on it on 0:24 and special mention of it on 0:55
http://cnettv.cnet.com/2012-bmw-x3/9...-50093918.html I then checked my local accessories brochure but no luck. Here's the URL. Click on the link to the accessories brochure page 6/11. They do not have part numbers on brochures, as usual. The IPAD holder in this doco seems to be part of a package. http://pdfservicemanual.com/automoti...g-brochure.pdf As I already have the headrest base attachment (see brochure page 4) which I use for my coathanger on weekdays, was thinking to get the ipad headrest mount which will be useful for my young passengers on weekends. And it easily just clips on and off the base attachment. So if anyone would like to share their experience of having one then that would be greatly appreciated. As I have a few questions like can they be purchased individually, compatibility to IPAD2, durability, ease of use, young passengers' satisfaction rate , etc... I own a sammy 10" tablet so haven't purchased this, but I do know that BMW Mississauga is charging $150 for it (for iPad though, not iPad 2) - no idea what the difference is between the two. Maybe the iPad 2 will fit?
