2013 X3 N20 build available...sort of.
It shows the new options to build the 2013 X3 but not the engine specifics.
Still shows the I6 and not the N20. |

On the build page it shows the 6 but go under specifications and it shows the N20. Interesting that it shows the exact same gas mileage, 19 city and 25 hwy.

Noticed under the Dynamic Handling Package ($1400) it doesn't show Dynamic Damper Control anymore as it did in 2012.
It only shows: •Variable sport steering •Performance Control |

I ordered a 2013 x3 35i with the dynamic handling package. When I check production status on the BMW website, it only shows Variable Sport Steering and Performance Control underneath the DHP, as you stated above. But it also shows Dynamic Damper Control as a seperate option. With the updated Build Your Own tool, dynamic damper control is listed under "Options", but it gets automatically selected if you select DHP under "Packages". You can't select Dynamic damper control alone, and there is no additional cost if you select it with DHP. I don't know why they changed it like this.

When you do select it it makes you add the Dynamic Handling Package..does that make sense what they did..no...but then that website isn't the best. |

Yes it does according to the bmwusa.com site...add Dynamic Handling Package to the build and look in the upper right and you will see Dynamic Damper Control $0 added where it totals up the prices. It's different to the 35i which actually shows Dynamic Damper Control under the options tab. Screwy..yes
What I think is important for people to know, which I just realized, is the ZCW (Cold Weather) and the Driver Assistance Package can't be added together. |
