4209A4: Temperature sensor system: Hotmode 3 - excess temperature
*latest change to car = charge pipe*
got the dreaded "drive train malfunction" msg. no codes other than one for drive train overheating: "4209A4: Temperature sensor system: Hotmode 3 - excess temperature" car didn't seen to shake or drive funny or smell any diff anyone familiar? I'm not sure if it's the usual spake plugs / ignition coils / hpfp like most... im wondering if it's legit a drive train issue? |

Have you driven it much since the charge pipe replacement? Thinking maybe the wiring connection(s) got tweaked during the install?

thanks for the link Marty in NY
I'll go over those in a bit Quote:
the day of the code, I finally finished up the pipes (tightened everything down) and reinstalled oem intercooler I went for a drive, and I'll admit.... I drove like a total ass (boy it was fun) ... I wonder if me driving it hard, back to back, and more hard driving.... caused it to legit over heat? and I would not put it past me to ruin some wires during the process.... which I hope that is not the case *gulp* ... is there a decent way to verify if I did ruin said wiring? |

BTW, tiny update.... I drove the car to get gas today, I drove SLOW... spent 20 mins to get to the station, and then 15 mins home. The warnings seemed to have went away like magic, and car seems to drive normal
I did NOT drive like an ass today, and went the legal speed limit both ways |

beat the piss out of it and see if It breaks. Really only way to tell.
I've said this before and in this case it's likely relevant. Sometimes these cars just get pissed off and do stupid things. When you unplug sensors, the car gets angry sometimes. Take off the battery connection when unplugging sensors and whatnot.
