Mobile Apps and Iphone
Has anyone else been disappointed with the lack of integration of the Office function from BMW. I put the extra Apps option on to my car and to date i have not used it. Emails and messages do not come onto the dash or i am missing something?

Email and messages only work with blackberry phones and maybe a couple of Droid phones. Phone must support the Bluetooth message access profile, which the iPhone does not.

This is correct and it's frustrating that such an expensive device from a huge company with such a large market share has neglected MAP. Sort it out Apple!!

I recently traded in my BB Torch for a Samsung GSII. When I got the phone, I knew I wouldn't be able to use the Office funtion with my new droid.
Surprise! After pairing the GSII, I noticed the email icon in the top right corner as I used to when I had my BB and checked the messages and voila!....I was getting emails & texts! Sweet! So Office appears to work with Sammy GSII's......

I hope apple get their act together then, cos we are all buying this application option and doesn't really do anything. Think its a change to GSII then!!!

BMW Apps and Apple's lack of MAP isn't the problem. iPhone not supporting MAP doesn't impact on the BMW Apps functionality, it's only a problem for BMW Office which is not part of BMW Apps
