I just picked up my new 2014 X3 35i last week and realized only after getting it that they apparently no longer are providing the build videos of your car in the plant? I know it's a little geeky but I was looking forward to that as a cool keepsake.

When did they stop making those videos for ordered vehicles?

It's been well over a year...maybe even 2 years since they stopped the videos.

Every time I read posts like this I can't figure out why my x3 does not muster the same kind of enthusiasm for me. To me, it's a diesel box and nothing terribly exciting. I want this passion!

Last year I saw an hour long programme on the building of the new F25 X3 in the new purpose built factory. It was an excellent programme, very interesting and it was on National Geographic in their series of megafactories around the world. Here is the link for anyone interested.

Have just checked this website and there is a glitch as it shows the Porche Panamara on the X3 link, but it must be available on the website and short videos are also on u tube.
