List Your SIBs here

There are many Service Information Bulletims for vehicles. BMW like others however does not treat them as recalls and only applies them if someone has a particular issue or complaint. Squeaks, rattles and other odd behavior are addressed on a per complaint basis.

If however you know of an issue and "complain" about it while under warranty you can get the issue fixed, be it real or not. My opinion is that whether or not you have the issue, if there is an upgraded part or fix for something you should strive to get it as the issue can crop up after the warranty runs out and you are on your own.

I thought perhaps it might be helpful if forum members listed issues along with the SIB from their service invoice. The initial complaint that generated the fix would also be helpful.

Would anyone happen to have a list of all the SIB's for the F25?

Unless I'm mistaken (or missing something) there is not a lot of detail in the individual links. It only goes up to 2012 for F25 also.

The detail that is supplied is all that is given. Dealers may have more detailed info. If you compare sites, they all read the same. There have been "0" Service Bulletins specifically issued for the 2013 X3 so far (that is why none are showing up). Verified that as well on this site: http://www.carcomplaints.com/BMW/X3/2013/tsbs/

I don't know the details, but there was a common problem with auto start stop which required BMW to do a software update. Symptoms were sometimes car starting after auto start stop engaged when stopping with a tire monitor and break system error. The problem was intermittent.

After the update everything runs fine.
