If you search the web, all the information is available including the question you asked.

http://slime.com.au/category/faqs/

What is the shelf life of Slime?
As long as the sealant is contained within its original bottle with the cap securely closed and stored in a cool, dry place Slime will remain effective for at least 4 years. If you intend to use a bottle you’ve had for awhile, please be sure to shake the bottle vigorously prior to installation. This will help to blend the product and restore the normal viscosity. Once installed in a tube or tyre Slime will remain active for two years.

If we compile INFO:
-some slime manufacturers (incl. mine) claim it will not have an impact on TPMS sensors.
-Continental sells slime AND TPMS sensors.
-Hankook is about to start selling tires prepared with slime.
-Consumer Report reports no problems with slime and TPMS.

To me the conclusion is obvious.

Slime "probably" wont' damage your TPMS.

The issue is the amount of work/effort (and therefore, money) that it will take to remove Slime and repair the hole properly.

Why don't you just call a tire shop and put this to bed if you're that worried?

Put this to bed? It's already a settled issue.

It's a PITA to clean up.

Why are we discussing the merits of cleaning it off exactly?
It will be used in an emergency situation only and as a last resort imo.
If i have to pay the poor soul an extra Ł5-Ł10 to clean it out come tyre replacement time, then so be it.
BMW are not the only manufacturers that no longer provide a spare wheel and so the tyre fitters will have seen this scenario many times over.

That settles that argument then. Win win for all parties and the environment. Less tyres going into landfill sites has to be a good thing.
So follow on question (and one asked many times), what's the best tyre to go for on a 19" staggered setup. I see someone has already mounted pirelli rosso's - how do find them? Any other suggestions specifically for the F25?

I never said it was "hard". I said it was time consuming to clean it up and considering the video is broken up (non-continuous) it seems like I was correct. In addition, that video doesn't seem to show them disassembling the TPMS which they would have to do to clean it thoroughly. A lot of tire shops will charge an additional fee for that alone.

Use Slime if you want. I personally wouldn't even thought I have a Slime kit in my trunk as well. I prefer to use the plugs in that kit instead.

Pinewood, for some reason there seem to be different use of tyres in the US and Europe.

I was unhappy with the handling of my X4 with 20" Pirelli P ZERO, until I lowered vehicle. Now I am happy. I have all the bells and whistles for handling performance. Handling to me is: steering precision, stability and steer-into-a-curve.

2016 AutoBild Ultra High Performance Summer Tyre Test made with a Jaguar F-type and 20" tyres, rated Continental Sport Contact 6 higher than earlier top rated Michelin Pilot Super Sport. Best in the wet was Hankook Ventus S1 Evo2.

Good performance by Yokohama, Vredestein Ultrac Vorti and Dunlop Sport Maxx GT.

I doubt that you can fully utilise the performance of Conti or Michelin, but perhaps Hankook?

Yes you did. How is "Pain in the ass" to clean up not the same as "hard" to clean up? Look it up in the dictionary. It literally means difficult.

Regardless, we're talking about a flat tire and getting stuck on the side of the road. I couldn't care less if I pay another $20 for the tire shop to clean the stuff up, if the Slime kit gets me back on the road pretty quickly, and easily, which is what it does.

Looked it up. Attached the screenshot below.

You should get an award.

It's not complicated. You first said it was a PITA to clean up. Then you said "I never said it was hard"... PITA and hard mean the same to everyone else other than you apparently.

Anyway, the main point here is that there's no proof that the stuff ruins TPMS sensors, and if you're right even and it's a bit more work for the tire shop to clean up the stuff, most here seem to agree that spending a little more on the repair, is small change to the ease of being quickly back on the road.

Let's move on.

Let's move on.
You asked for it and I delivered.

Also, what's "small change"?

If you use the Slime method you're paying for the following:
- Tire mount
- Tire balance
- Labor to clean up Slime
- TPMS service if the shop charges for it because you'll have to take the TPMS off in order to clean it

If you plug it yourself and you're not tracking the car, that's significantly less expensive.
