Finally, she's here!

Took delivery last night. Took about six weeks. Been warm here in Toronto, Canada all December...and on the day I take delivery of the X3, a freaking ice storm hits! Driving home in the storm in a brand new car was NOT fun. Saw a car jacked up on a rail facing on-coming traffic. Saw cars sliding all over going uphill on an off ramp.

Anyway, been driving it here and there today and I'm starting to miss some of the features of my old car. You never really notice these things until you officially have the new car. Certainly didn't notice when test driving the car. I can't help but notice how little storage areas are available in the X3. I had storage spots everywhere in my old car. I should have included the storage package. Oh well.

Just some notables:
-no coin holder in the big spot underneath all the headlight buttons.
-that little storage slit behind the cup holders is laughable.
-no foldout holder of some sort for sunglasses.
-no nettings behind seats for books/magazines.
-middle storage bin is small.

BUT, the engine sounds so damn nice. Pick-ups are so smooth. It's a beautiful ride. And I know how some have found the ride to be a bit harsh with run flats, but I didn't notice that at all. So excited to drive the car some more.

Thanks! First time owner, and really enjoying the drive.

I'll try, but the weather has been crap, so it's just a dirty car now, lol. Just got the winters on too.

Agree re storage in my 2015 X3. I purchased the small left side storage compartment and had it installed. It is on the laft side low between the steering wheel and the door.

Ooooh. You can purchase and install yourself? Was it easy?

Or do you mean you ordered it with your car? Yeah, in hindsight, I should've included the "storage package." I think it was $300CAD, but didn't realize so many little storage compartments were not included.

Not sure if that is RHD, but just put in LHD car to double check.

a she? I am curious why people refer to X3 as a she? I consider mine a he and love him as a dear friend (no homo).

note: I used to consider my late RDX 2013 a she (or maybe a she-male) but for some reason the X3 comes across as masculine to me

It is a toss up; pros and cons ... decisions!!!! This one seems more appropriate for off-road though (has a version of symmetrical AWD for 3 wheels)

Nope. Mine is a mineral white, not blue. Lol.

Did I call my car a she? I had to re-read my post. Haha. I didn't, but since it's a pearly white, I would consider it a she.

Edit: Oooh! I called it a she in my title. Haha. Yes, it's a she.

And she's already been door dinged hard! Poor thing had paint on door chipped down to the metal. Not even one month old.
