Failed Fuel pump at 41k miles ???
Just wondering, outside bad fuel, what would make a fuel pump prematurely fail. Car moderately driveN in 7 years at 41k miles on an N20 engine. Other thoughts welcome.

Driving a lot on a nearly empty tank can contribute. Pumps that are in the tank are cooled by the gas. Otherwise, it's probably just your luck. If you tracked 1,000 pumps they will fail at all sorts of mileage/age. You may have just gotten one on the low end.

Always refill before light, could just be bad luck, new pump not cheap.
