Find a plastic cover, where should I put it back?

Hi, I found this plastic cover in the truck of my BMW 2015 X3 xDrive 28i. I just got it last week.
Any idea what is this cover for? Where should I reinstall it?

It's the front license plate mount

I have the same in my cargo space. I use a tow hook mount for my front license plate. Keep it for the next owner in case they need it or try to sell it if you don't want it at all.
