Finally able to Customize Sport Setting!!!
My wife just got a BMW X3 2017 x35i (no EDC) and after driving it for a while I noticed a few things on comfort and sport setting:
Comfort Shitty Steering Feel - I can't stand it. I have an E90 M3 so its a unfair to compare but the X3 steering in comfort is really bad Transmission - Love it. Great for DD and it goes to 8th gear Throttle - I like a long throttle to have better control of the car so this is perfect Auto Stop Start - I kind of like it for traffic lights Sport Steering is way better. Tightens up and I feel like I have more control Transmission - Good for spirited driving but not for cruising. Doesn't go to 8th Throttle - Way too sensitive Auto Stop Start - Disabled I always had to compromise. Go to sport, manual shift and deal with the sensitive throttle. After looking into this way too long in this forum and every other place, I finally found a way to customize it. You need to have an OBD and bimmercode and you can get the customize sports setting menu. I can finally go to sports setting and have tighter steering and keep the drivetrain in comfort (Auto Stop Start Enabled, and Transmission and Throttle in Comfort) Credit to the guys over here: https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1086229 "I FDL coded the ICM module and changed Icmkod_b_sportsindividualisierbar to ein (werte 01). Lo and behold, the menu now works! (I had already coded MACRO_FDS in HU_NBT to "popup_and_configure" previously)" Enjoy!! Last edited by Vexter182; 04-22-2021 at 03:03 PM.. |

Thanks for this!
Worked on my 2014, but only needed to do MACRO_FDS. I don't have the Icmkod option. But checked chassis only vs powertrain only while driving and does change. I really don't like how light the steering is unless I'm on the freeway. |

They are configurable in iDrive. The coding just enables the picker. You can choose Drivetrain and Chassis or Chassis only (steering changes) or Drivetrain only (different throttle map, etc.)

People have been enabling the chassis mode(really just steering) for many years. No reason not to enable it if you want heavier feeling steering without effecting throttle & trans. BMW should have enabled chassis mode as standard for vehicles without the DHP :
