If your going to get new summer rims and tires. You'd be best getting snow tires as a winter set. As far as all seasons, never been a fan of Duelers, they are loud and handling is crap. Would go with a Michelin, Toyo, or Falken for all seasons. I havent bought all seasons for any BMW I've had in over 10yrs, as its been Summer & Winter tires only.

Grand touring tires are usually a bit quieter.

If you have 17" rims, I would get the Michelin Primacy runflats, they only come in the 17" size otherwise, I would have got them.

Any comments on going from my 19" down to 18"?.. I just would like more rubber less metal.
My first tire change is coming up in about 10,000 miles from now.. think it would be the perfect time to do a wheel swap with an aftermarket.

I will let know about the primacy mxm4. I just ordered a set from Sears. They had the best local price. I paid $1086.00 for mount, balance with life time rotation and balance. I also have the bridgestone dulers with 39234 miles on them with about 4 32 left. We are getting alot of snow here and don't trust the tires anymore.

Please keep us posted on the Michelins. Have 41,000 mi. on Bridgestones with absolutely no problems. In fact I purchased a set of Bridgestone RFT's for my wife's E60. But definitely interested in Michelins.

We put the Bridgestone Potenza RE960AS Pole Position RFT on my wife's X3 about 4 months ago. They are a pretty good tire. They are classified as Ultra High Performance. They aren't the best tire for snow but they offer great performance on dry and wet pavement. With that being said, we've had snow packed roads for nearly half of this winter and the tires do just fine. Not gonna get stuck or anything, just have to take turns a bit slower compared to a dedicated snow tire.

Got my tires mounted yesterday. Soon as I got in and started down the road I could tell the difference. I went on a trip today and put 650 miles on them. They are very quite and smooth riding. With the Bridgestone tires the steering was very easy and didn't seem to have control. With these Michelins I have a better feel of the road like my 328i. The only thing that I am disappointed is my mpg dropped from 27 to 23 miles per gallon. Bridgestone are a stiffer tire so I assume they roll easier to get the better mileage.
